About Us
DeKalb Physician Hospital Organization (DPHO) was incorporated in 1994 as a nonprofit organization:
To improve the quality and availability of health care services to the community served by DeKalb Medical Center, Decatur, Georgia and its affiliated physicians and their practices.
Today, DPHO continues to carry out that mission by operating as a clinically integrated network of physician and hospital providers whose primary goal is to work collaboratively to provide coordinated, high-quality, cost-effective patient care with improved outcomes.
Clinical Integration
Through a partnership among primary care physicians, specialty physicians and the facilities owned and operated by DeKalb Medical Center, Inc. (specifically, Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long Term Acute Care), DeKalb PHO has created a robust program of Clinical Integration.
The purpose of the CI program is to improve quality of care and streamline the care provided to our patients. This relationship creates a high level of interdependence among the participants so that services are delivered in a coordinated, cost effective, high quality manner.
Our Physicians
The DeKalb PHO network is comprised of approximately 450 high-quality physicians as well as the three facilities operated by DPHO’s member hospital system, DeKalb Medical.
